The ROOTS SW exhibition has
now taken place, and an evaluation report on the benefits to the region
is being published by the CRE. The launch and subsequent visiting days
were extremely well attended, and feedback from the visitors books and
school worksheets was overwhelmingly positive.

school worksheets was overwhelmingly positive.The Roots Partnership, which brought the exhibition to the region, has reaffirmed its commitment to Racial Equality work, particularly within education. Next year, a photograph and poster competition is planned, in addition to the tour of the region by the Roots Roadshow.
A major strength of the Partnership is that it draws its membership from a wide range of organisations, including the statutory and voluntary sectors, as well as from County Councils in the region, and the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary.
The Project was instrumental in bringing the "Roots of the Future" exhibition to the South West, initiating and developing the Partnership and writing the evaluation report.
